Yesterday I decided that I needed to approach running from a different angle.  Since injury I have been trying to push myself to be the runner I was before. That is unrealistic.  I can’t take 2 +months off running and expect to run the distance and speed I was before.  So yesterday I set out for a long slow run.  I ended up doing 5.25 miles!  I haven’t run that far since my half marathon!!!! It took me 1:09 but it’s ok.  I’m not bummed out because I ran it slower that I used to.  At least I ran it. I finally feel like a runner again.
